Do the dang thing!

As a newbie in the business world, I am frequently asked why I chose interior design. 1) Designing is an absolute obsession for me, and the greatest part is that it doesn’t feel like work. I can get lost in the process for hours and not even notice that my day flew by. My passion stems from the feeling you get when being in a well-designed space. I truly believe that with good design, any space, no matter its condition, has the potential to create a sense of peace, contentment, and joy. Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of what my future home would look like. Now, I am 24 & not quite at the point of designing my own home (*cause that takes time Courtney*😅) Instead, I’m working on homes for others to bring their ultimate visions to life. When I work on a project for a client, I put my heart in it 110% as if it were my own dream home. Seeing their reaction when it’s all said and done is what it’s all about.

I am so grateful for this opportunity, and to think it wasn’t ‘achievable’ at my age is beyond silly. Yes, I have a lot to learn along the way and I will fail MANY times but I encourage all of you to follow your heart fully and just do the dang thing already. What can it hurt? {A few people that don’t believe in you? Fear of the outcome? What people will think?} As bad as all that seems… you’ll never know if you never try. {trust me} when i tell you: i am far from having it all together, but i truly believe that everyone desires something greater. Living means doing what you love and if it means falling multiple times in order to get there, then so be it. I believe that if you want something badly enough it’s possible, with the faith of god + lots of hard work. if it were easy, everybody would do it right? if you decided to read this in the first place… it’s likely that you’re not everybody. as jen sincero writes: “risk being un-popular. successful people are tenacious, which means they keep faith much longer than the average person. because of this, the average person tends to look upon the successful person before they become successful as insane, ridiculous, or ‘go get a real job.” keep your desires + dreams + vision for life close to you. be unshakeable, hold your ground, and have faith in god to provide the rest. your desire for the life you want to live should out-weight all other things. god gave you your desires with the purpose of having you carry them out {fully}! Do what you love for the sake of your happiness, and the rest will follow! 💛
